KHAYA LAM
“Khaya Lam” is a phrase in Zulu, one of South Africa’s official languages. It translates to “My Home” in English. The name reflects the initiative’s focus on promoting property ownership and restoring the dignity of homeownership to individuals and families, emphasising the importance of having a recognised and secure place to live. The initiative aims to give municipal tenants the legal title to their homes, allowing them to take pride in their properties and invest in their futures.
